Content Marketing Specialist
Write and plan the content that brings organic traffic to UVT and its clients, migration guides, comparison content and genuinely useful answers, not thin SEO filler.
Content that's actually useful outranks content that's just optimized. As a Content Marketing Specialist at UVT, you'll plan and write migration guides, comparison posts and answer-driven content, both for UVT's own site and for client work, grounded in real keyword research and written to be genuinely worth reading, not just long enough to rank.
What You'll Do
- Research and write long-form content: platform migration guides, comparison posts, and FAQ-driven pieces built around real search intent, not just word count targets.
- Structure content for both traditional SEO and AI answer engines: a direct-answer opening, specific numbers over vague claims, and a clear FAQ section that search engines and AI assistants can lift directly.
- Plan a content calendar based on real keyword research and gap analysis, not just whatever topic is easiest to write that week.
- Work with the SEO team on internal linking and content structure, since a good piece of content poorly linked still underperforms.
- Occasionally write content for client projects, adapting tone and depth to each client's audience and industry.
What We're Looking For
- Real experience writing long-form, SEO-aware content, ideally in a technical or B2B space where the content needs to be genuinely accurate, not just readable.
- Comfortable doing real keyword and competitor research, not just writing to a brief handed to you with no context on why those keywords matter.
- Can write specifically and concretely rather than defaulting to vague, generic phrasing. This matters more for SEO and AI-citation performance than people expect.
- Strong editing instinct: willing to cut a paragraph that isn't earning its place, even if it took time to write.
Nice to have: experience writing about ecommerce, Shopify or SaaS specifically, familiarity with structured data (FAQPage, Article schema), experience with AEO/GEO content strategy.
What We Offer
Remote-first work, and content that's judged on whether it actually ranks and gets read, with a real say in topic strategy rather than just execution against someone else's calendar.
How to Apply
Use the form on this page. Send a writing sample, ideally something long-form and SEO-aware, and tell us what made you choose that structure.
