Full Stack Developer

Build the custom functionality, integrations and internal tools that sit around Shopify storefronts, not just the theme layer.

Not everything a Shopify project needs lives inside a Liquid theme. As a Full Stack Developer at UVT, you'll build the backend services, integrations and internal tools that connect Shopify stores to the rest of a client's business, ERP, OMS, custom APIs, and the automation that keeps data flowing correctly between systems.

What You'll Do

Build integrations between Shopify and external systems: ERP, OMS, CRM, PIM and custom APIs, using Shopify's Admin API, webhooks and apps where appropriate.
Develop custom backend services for functionality that doesn't fit cleanly into a theme or a Shopify app: data syncing, custom business logic, internal tooling.
Work across the stack when a project needs it: a React-based embedded app, a Node service handling webhooks, and the Shopify-side configuration to connect them.
Help scope integration work during discovery, since this is one of the most commonly underestimated parts of a migration or development project.
Collaborate with Shopify theme developers on projects that need both storefront and backend work, rather than working in a silo.

What We're Looking For

Real full-stack experience: a modern frontend framework (React preferred), a backend language or runtime (Node.js, PHP or similar), and comfort designing an integration from scratch.
Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and the kind of error handling and retry logic that real-world integrations actually need.
Comfortable reading unfamiliar API documentation (ERPs and legacy systems rarely have great docs) and figuring out the integration anyway.
Shopify-specific experience is a plus but not required; strong general backend and integration skills matter more for this particular role.

Nice to have: Shopify Admin API or app development experience, experience with a specific ERP or OMS platform, TypeScript proficiency.
