Product Designer

Design the tools UVT's own clients and candidates actually use, the migration assessment, the application form, internal dashboards, not just client storefronts.

Most of UVT's design work is client storefronts, but the tools that run the agency itself also need real design attention. As a Product Designer at UVT, you'll design the internal and client-facing tools that aren't a Shopify theme: the migration readiness assessment, application flows, internal dashboards, and anything else that needs to actually work well, not just exist.

What You'll Do

  • Design multi-step flows (like the Shopify Migration Readiness Assessment) that stay usable under real constraints: mobile screens, impatient users, and a goal of actual completion, not just a pretty first screen.
  • Design internal tools the team uses to manage projects, applications and client work, where usability directly affects how efficiently the agency runs.
  • Work from data, not just instinct. If a flow has a high drop-off point, that's a design problem to diagnose and fix, not a number to note and move past.
  • Collaborate directly with developers building these tools in React/TypeScript, adjusting designs when something doesn't translate cleanly to a real implementation.
  • Occasionally support client storefront design work when it needs an extra set of hands.

What We're Looking For

  • Real product design experience: multi-step flows, forms, dashboards, not only marketing pages or landing pages.
  • Comfortable designing for conversion and completion rate specifically, with a point of view on why people drop off a flow and what to change about it.
  • Experience with Figma or an equivalent tool, and enough comfort with developer handoff to keep designs grounded in what's actually buildable.
  • An eye for the unglamorous but high-impact details: error states, empty states, loading states, the parts of a product that get skipped when deadlines are tight.

Nice to have: experience designing a hiring/application flow specifically, experience with usability testing or user research, familiarity with React component libraries.

What We Offer

Remote-first work, and genuinely different design problems from client storefront work. You're designing tools people use repeatedly, not a one-time visual impression.

How to Apply

Use the form on this page. Tell us about a flow you redesigned to actually finish more often, not just look better.
