Project Manager

Run Shopify migration and development projects end to end, scope, timeline, team coordination and the client relationship through launch and beyond.

Migrations fail more often from poor coordination than from bad code: a missed redirect, an integration nobody scoped properly, a launch date nobody actually prepared for. As a Project Manager at UVT, you own the coordination, keeping a migration or development project scoped, on track, and genuinely communicated to the client at every stage.

What You'll Do

  • Own project scope and timeline for Shopify migrations and development builds, from discovery through launch and into post-launch stabilization.
  • Coordinate between developers, designers, SEO and the client, catching scope gaps and dependencies before they become delays, not after.
  • Run the client relationship day to day: realistic status updates, clear expectations, and honest flags when something's at risk rather than optimistic reporting that falls apart later.
  • Maintain the itemized breakdowns (data migration, development, integrations, QA) that UVT's own positioning is built around. Vague scope is exactly what this role exists to prevent.
  • Own the post-launch monitoring period. The first few weeks after go-live, when issues most often surface, aren't someone else's problem once the project manager hands off.

What We're Looking For

  • Real project management experience in a technical/agency context: software, web development or a comparable delivery environment, not just general PM experience with no technical component.
  • Comfortable enough with the technical side of a migration (data, SEO redirects, integrations) to ask the right questions and catch a gap before it becomes a missed deadline.
  • Clear, honest communication style, with the team and with clients. This role is trusted to say "this is at risk" early, not to manage optics.
  • Organized by default, not by effort. The volume of moving parts in a migration needs systems, not just diligence.

Nice to have: direct experience managing an ecommerce platform migration specifically, Agile or Scrum experience, familiarity with Shopify's own project lifecycle.

What We Offer

Remote-first work, and real authority over how a project is run. This isn't a status-reporting role sitting between people who actually make decisions, it's the role making the coordination decisions.
